Q: What is the difference between bronze and PVD bronze?

Physical Vapour Deposition , or PVD, is a coating method which provides to bronze a series of features, such as: golden colour effect, hypoallergenic capacity and dishwasher resistance. Unlike PVD bronze, standard bronze dies can be washed exclusively by hand under water and it is necessary to dry them carefully to avoid the formation of halos.

Delivery

Which is the estimated delivery time?

Unless there is additional information regarding the delivery on the product page, orders will be processed within 24 hours from the date of purchase, on working days.
Once the package will be sent you will receive the tracking number by email and from this moment on the shipping times indicated below will apply.

If you decide to pay by bank transfer please note that your parcel will be shipped as soon as we receive your payment.
Any delay or disagreement will depend on the chosen courier.

What happens if the parcel can’t be delivered?

The courier will try a first delivery. In case you miss the first delivery attempt you’ll find a notice in your mailbox. The courier will automatically try the second delivery again the next workday. The courier may try to contact you on the phone number associated to your order.

Is it possible to combine multiple orders?

Separately purchased items can be shipped together in one single parcel, if none of your orders has already been processed. Contact us via e-mail at customerservice@pastidea.com to ask for it.

How much does the shipping cost?

The shipping cost depends on the weight, the item dimension and on your destination country. If your country is not listed, please contact us.
Some remote destinations may be subjected to surcharges, in this case we will contact you after you have submitted your order.

We inform you that for for purchases from outside the European Union, no VAT amount will be applied to your order. To correctly calculate the final costs you will need to add all the items to the Shopping Cart and then click on the Check-Out page.
Countries from outside the European Union may apply additional taxes and brokerage fees, which are not included in the shipping cost and that will need to be paid at delivery. Please note that such costs will be at your charge.

How can I track my parcel?

Your parcel will be shipped within 24 hours from its payment. By using the Tracking Number contained in the shipment notification you’ll be able to track the position of your order. Tracking events usually appear in a couple of hours after receiving the Tracking Number. If it’s still not working, please have patience and just check it after a while.

Can I have my parcel delivered to a different address?

Sure. If you wish, you can have your order delivered to your home, to your workplace or to someone else. What is important is that the courier can always find someone ready to collect the parcel at the given address. It’s not possible to schedule a delivery on appointment service.

What is a Pastidea Gift Card?

Thanks to this e-card you give the possibility to someone else to receive his/her favourite dies. It lasts for 3 years from its purchase and it is available in different amounts. Please note that it is possible to split such amount in more orders, since it is not necessary to use your Pastidea Gift Card just in one purchase.

Order

Is it possible to modify an order?

Have you forgotten something? Would you like to make a change in your product list? Do you wish to modify the payment method? You can contact us via e-mail at customerservice@pastidea.com by indicating your Order Number. We'll be do our best to help you. We inform you that can proceed with the modification exclusively in case your order hasn’t aldready be shipped, or processed, by our Logistic Department.

I’ve purchased some Pastidea items which are damaged, wrong or missing. What should I do?

How do I place an order?

Browse through our selection of products and choose your favourite items. Select the quantity.
Click on the Add to Car button next to the item you wish to purchase. On the top of the page, on the right, you’ll find the Cart section with the list of the added products.
Click on Check-out and type in all the requested data. You’ll be asked to fill in a billing and shipping address, a phone number and an e-mail address in order to receive the Order Confirmation. You’ll also have to choose a courier and a payment method.

Payment

I’d like to buy some Pastidea items. Which payment methods do you accept?

It’s possible to pay your online order by:

Credit Card (MasterCard, Visa and Maestro)
PayPal
Bank transfer in advance, in Europe

If you decide to pay by bank transfer please note that your parcel will be shipped as soon as we receive your settlement.

First of all, you should proceed with placing the order and then arranging a bank transfer to the bank details indicated on your Order Confirmation. Please proceed with this operation within 10 days subsequent to your purchase.

I´m planning to buy a pasta machine. Which payment methods do you accept?

Choose your favourite pasta machine and place your order.

If your shipping address is in Europe, you can settle by Credit Card (MasterCard, Visa and Maestro) or by bank transfer in advance.
If your country is located outside Europe you can proceed with the settlement by Credit Card (MasterCard, Visa, Maestro and others).

Will my bronze dies oxidize over time?

Yes, they will. If you own standard bronze dies and not the PVD bronze ones, over time they’ll be subjected to oxidation. However this harmless corrosion won’t affect the dies’ functionality. In order to slow down this process we invite you to perfectly dry your bronze items, by keeping them in their original silicon box and by avoiding the direct sunlight.

Which ones are the correct adapters for the Philips Pasta Maker?

By choosing the following adapter you may use the bronze and PVD screens with the Philips Pasta Maker Avance machine:

What is the difference between bronze and PVD bronze?

May the bronze screens be used on other machines?

The bronze screens may be used on various types of machines only if the right adapter exists.

On Kenwood machines: the PVD bronze and bronze screens have been developed originally for Kenwood, so their dimensions fit on these machines and no additional adapter is necessary to use them.

On KitchenAid / Marcato machines: on the KitchenAid or Marcato machines the bronze and PVD bronze screens can be used with this adapter. Please keep in mind that the pasta cutter won't work and that the extrusion will be slower than usual. We have developed some specific screens for these machines, they are available here.

On Fimar / Fattorina machines: on the Fimar or Fattorina machines the bronze screens can be used by purchasing these adapters. The adapters can be purchased in different colors. For the original Fimar / Fattorina screens, no adapter is needed instead.

On UNOLD machines: on the Unold machines, the PVD bronze and bronze screens can be used by purchasing the following adapters.

On Häussler machines: on the Häussler machines the PVD bronze and bronze screens can be used by purchasing the following adapter.

I’ve purchased some items but my order is now On Hold. What does it mean?

If you have received an email containing this kind of update it means that your order is being processed. Some information may be missing (incomplete address, e.g.) or one or more items could not be immediately available for shipping.

How can I find out when an item will be back in stock?

The item availability is clearly visible in the product details. An item can be available, low stock or out of stock. You can select the required quantity by clicking on ''Add to Cart''.
If the product you are interested in is currently out of stock, enter your email address in the box to be informed as soon as it comes back into stock. Signing up for notification doesn't reserve the item for you. When you receive our email saying that it is available, return to our website to place your order before the stock is gone again.

How can I clean the screens?

In order to clean the bronze screens or dies you have to wash them with water only (the use of chemical agents and putting them into the dishwasher could lead to oxidation). After that you may remove the residues on the inside of the screen (to make this step easier we created those cleaning tools), and finally you just dry it by hand. To clean the PVD dies, simply insert them into the dishwasher, remove the inner residues after washing them and let them dry.

Are the bronze dies made only of bronze?

Pasta dies are not made of pure bronze, but of an alloy composed mainly of copper, of zinc and other chemical compounds. This particular alloy allows a very good processing. It has excellent hot deformability performance and complies with the legislation for materials in contact with water, intended for human consumption. It is a long-term tradition that artisans and families use dies in copper-based metal alloys (so-called bronzes). The wording does not mean that bronze is the only material that makes up the die. The consumers associate 'bronze dies' with a traditional process capable of providing a rough pasta, which absorbs and retains the seasonings.

It is possible to return one or more items from your order.
